Condemned Cinema, Introduction.
Condemned Cinema is a series of reviews I'll be posting about films that have stirred controversey, sickened viewers and shocked the public by their content. Ranging from Sam Peckinpah's Straw Dogs and Jean-Claude Brisseau's Les Anges Exterminateurs (The Exterminating Angels). Whether the film is rife with explicit sexual content or filled with gruesome and perverse violence, I'll discuss the pros and cons of the controversey, discuss how the controversey helped promote the film, or helped condemn it. I'll post the first review tomorrow and it'll be Troy Duffy's The Boondock Saints and how it was 'condemned' for sparking the Columbine High School shooting. I hope you'll all enjoy these sick and twisted films and hopefully you may even watch a couple of them if they interest you enough!
